Highlights from another awesome Chinese roadtrip

This time the destination was somewhere called Zhangjiajie in Hunan Province, China. A UNESCO world heritage site known from the Avatar movie.

I skipped the tourist hiking paths and found some very beautiful mountain roads instead. Absolutely among the very best driving roads I have ever visited in China.

Here are some photos I snapped with my phone:

A picture from Changsha City, Hunan Province. Do you think it is legal to drift going up on this road?

Journey computer results after arriving back home. (1600 miles, 31mpg US)

Bonus video shot just two days before starting the trip:

The car
  • 2009 Z4 sDrive35i DCT
  • ESS Engine/DCT tune, stg2 (390hp / 550nm)
  • Low performance inexpensive nonRFT tires (because drifting...)
  • Miltek midpipes (secondary cat delete for a bit of extra noise)
Otherwise completely stock...

Still absolutely love the girl

Update with pics from another trip, this time in Fujian Province
