On our way from America to Calif. yesterday, our hood open sensor lit up
on the dash. We had hit no big bumps and had not had the hood open recently. Is there an adjustment on our 2011 35i 6Spd that can be adjusted to prevent this? Also, the hood appears to lift just slightly at high speeds but we have never had the indicator light up before.
I can see that the sensor is heavily spring loaded and gets pushed down as the hood latches secure the u-bolts extending from the hood. I do not know what type of sensors are used. Any info out there?
