Changing to regular tyres on a Z4 that has minimal boot space and 2 tyre sizes, is not an option for me now. Would I have to replace these wheels with the original BMW wheels?
The short answer is NO, you do not need original BMW wheels, any aftermarket wheel will work with RFT's. Just need to be sure the diameter and width of the new wheels are the same or close to what you have now if you are going to use the tires off your existing OEM wheels to transfer to the new wheels.

If you go the new wheels route, you might consider an offset that give it a wider stance? Or you can use wheel spacers as I have on my stock 18" style 325 wheels. I went with 15mm fronts and 20mm rears and like the increased stance with these additions per this thread: https://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1997777

Stock wheels specs are as follows, addition of spacers effectively only change the offset:

Front: 8Jx18 ET+29 Offset. With the addition of the 15mm spacers, the new effective offset is ET+14

Rear: 8.5Jx18 ET40. With the addition of the 15mm spacers, the new effective offset is ET+20
