Watched the first half of the race on the DVR last night. We've got family in town, so I've been getting roped in to all manner of shenanigans that
isn't watching racing
I'm
really struggling to believe that the Porsches are giving it 100% in qualifying. The #911 & #912 cars were
up Auberlen's ass from the very start, and this is not a course that Auberlen is unfamiliar with. There has been a BMW on the podium at Long Beach for the last 7 years. Bamber was very close to Auberlen in qualifying, but you wouldn't believe it from the start of the race. The start looked more like the #911 & #912 cars were the top qualifiers, but were moved back in the field for penalty reasons. Really bizarre.
It's the M6's first year in the series though, so hopefully BMW can get the car pinned down before too long
