What you and Cedar are saying makes a lot of sense. I think you guys nailed it regarding declining sales figures.
Miata sales figures are way down as well, and it is the best selling 2 seat roadster of all time.
I buy most of my fun cars used. My 2009 Z4 3.0i 6m/t was the same price as a tricked out new Miata. My Z4 had 9k miles on it when I bought it and since it was a stick, it was a tough sale down here in Florida. The dealer was happy to take my 2006 C6 Corvette convertible 6 a/t in trade.
