I think you know what I mean, but just to be clear: does the car's fuel consumption improve once it is broken-in and months/years later on in its engine life?

tranquility, the car learns based on your driving habits and slightly alters its performance based on those characteristics. Not saying it will make a big dent in your gas mileage but it's a good idea to reset the ECU once you feel comfortable so it doesn't remember how you had to drive during your break in period.
I don't have iDrive...not sure if advisable to do it or how to do it?
