I don't have the power mirrors on mine, so I'm just going by the webpage from Carly for BMW.

You have to have Comfort Access and it has to be active. If you can lock/unlock your doors by touching the door handle and you can start the car with the key in your pocket, then you have this.
Then you activate the mirror folding/unfolding in the Comfort Access System (CAS):

Comfort folding/unfolding for sideview mirrors
• active
• not active
When holding the lock/unlock button on the remote the sideview mirrors automatically fold/unfold. To activate this function please activate ‘Comfort folding/unfolding for sideview mirrors’ in the ‘FRM’ module. Also activate ‘Comfort open using remote’ and ‘Comfort close using remote’ in this module. (CAS)

Then you activate the folding/unfolding in the FRM (not sure what FRM stands for):

Comfort folding/unfolding for sideview mirrors
• active
• not active
This function requires an installed LIN-Bus (usually installed with mirror heating).nWhen holding the lock/unlock button on the remote the sideview mirrors automatically fold/unfold. May need additional coding of the ‘CAS’ module. (FRM)
