My 2011 is great, its the best factory system I have ever heard. The lows and highs are great. I am always having friends and people ask me to show them the system I put in the car and or speaker/amp details.
They are shocked when I tell them it is 100% BMW factory.
I have taken the time to adjust the EQ and treble/bass settings, also I tend to make minor adjustments depending on the songs.
