e89s as they come from the factory need new wheels and tires. I went 245mm 18" square with PSS and it is a very well handling car. I also saved iirc 9 pounds on each wheel, and that is while going wider in the front.
You can also turn to m3 roll bars and the like although at this time I am satisfied with the handling of mine. I have the adaptive suspension but it is mostly useless.
