Agreed - a 4xx Coupe is a beautiful car...on the outside. However I can't stand the manual parking brake in 2017. The whole interior is showing its age, imho. Maybe the next gen will come with an e-parking brake and will be closer to the nice Audi interior. That would be an option, for sure.
My pre-emptive hunt for a Z4 replacement continues.... Yesterday I test drove a Porsche 718S. Very nice. Sadly, the (rear mid-) engine noise is particularly present in the cabin. This is a deal breaker: I drive monthly between Dallas and Houston and probably won't stand such a noisy car during 3h30min. Plus, it's a 4-cyl.
I read that Mercedes might axe the SLC replacement....

BMW: next gen Z4 if they offer a hard top, next gen 440i
Audi: S5, Audi TTRS when they offer memory seat (my wife and I share the cars).
Mercedes: SLC if not axed
