Same here. Before my E89 I enjoyed convertibles as rentals when vacationing but I had zero interest in owning one myself. I don't like how softtops look when they're up, I hate the huge blind spots you get from the small side window openings, I don't like how they age, they're always noisier, have worse temperature insulation, etc, etc. But a nice folding hardtop? Best of both worlds.
