Most definitely not the latter. The box arrived back to us with a gigantic interior compression courtesy of our lovely pals at UPS.
Carbon fiber as a material is known for it's low weight, high tensile strength, and as most know it is very stiff. Unfortunately, a byproduct of some of these characteristics is that carbon is also brittle and when mishandled can result in a outcome like the above situation.
