Interesting thread.. but doesn't a comparison isn't really possible since fuel consumption is (obviously) very dependent on driving style.

I got something like 10 mpg on my last drive.

I was using the turbochargers a great deal and oil temperature per the gauge under the tachometer was 265F (65F ambient air temperatures, night time).

That probably had something to do with the lower than average fuel economy figures
