I've had mine in the garage just these last few days regarding the roof. On mine though it was in because of an awful cracking noise that it was making when the temperatures were sub zero.
The garage said the design of the roof means that sometimes moisture on the seals freezes and makes a cracking sound. I've posted a video of what mine is live over on 'another' forum :

Either way, now its back it does seem quieter than before. They have made some adjustments and lubricated the seals with Gummi Pfledge
