You're absolutely correct. And on page 26 it says:
"Each remote control contains a rechargeable battery that is automatically recharged when it is in the ignition lock while the car is being driven. Use each remote control at least twice a year for longer road trips in order to maintain the battery's charge status.
In vehicles equipped with Comfort Access, the remote control contains a replaceable battery, refer to page 34." (the page you referred to).
I'm simply saying that my SA at the dealership advised me that even though I had the comfort access option, my remote still required a charge.
I haven't been able to open the 'door' on the key fob per the manual instructions on how to change the replaceable battery, implying there may not be a replaceable battery in mine and that it gets recharged when I plug it in - and I definitely have comfort access on my z.
So perhaps the combination of a rechargeable key fob and comfort access is a Canadian 'feature'? Or a build error on the line? Who knows.
