Would you be getting a bit more what?

The drive control modes do not provide more power, they simply change when the car delivers the power. Comfort/Normal mode will shift later, to give better fuel economy. Sport will shift later and sport + later still.

Just think of it as each mode up brings the power earlier in your actions. Holds gears longer, weights up the steering (and suspension if you have the optional dynamic shocks).
