Just installed the SmartTop in my 2011 Z4 on Friday. Was not easy to install but not too hard either. Once it was installed, initially it did not work. I reinstalled the factory harness and the top would not respond! I almost sh-t my pants. I got an error message on the nav screen to look in the manual. The manual was of no help. I called mod4cars and spoke to a tech. ( I think it was the owner) He was extremely patient and walked me through getting the module to work. Thank God! It works as advertised. I still can't fit the harness completey under the carpeted cover, but I can live with that. It was much easier to install than a module I installed in my Cayman a few years ago. Hope this helps.
