As for the carbon buildup, some advice I'd gotten and also read online is that really heating engine up (>20 minutes at >4000rpm) regularly keeps build up from being a problem. I've been following that advice since I got the car, so I haven't thought about the walnut blasting.
Btw, what are you thinking for your next DE?
