I have seen the new SLK in person allready and it looks mean. YES it is not my type of car i prefer the Z4 but it look mean and trust me the AMG is going to be on my list

don't know about the actual dimensions of the MB but the silhouette of the Z looks much more elongated and the bonnet longer thanks to the Z4 ingenious design.
one more thing I like about the Z over the MB is the windshield frame, it's black and it's frameless, reminds me of the iPhone and apple new LCDs design which does not interfere with the eyes while on the MB it's a painted metal frame that looks awful.
Ah, and the steering wheel, don't you see that MB just copy-pasted Z4's?
