I picked up the car yesterday, and I could not be happier. Although I purchased it directly from a private individual, ,my BMW dealer accommodated the sale for me at no charge! (seller will likely get his new BMW from them as his tax credits are on file there now). The car still has about 4 months left on the new car warranty, and buying through the dealer allowed me to purchase it as CPO. Then I discovered that there is a 3 year year CPO option and I grabbed it!
I already feel completely at home in the car. The only thing I find weird is not having the idrive and features that I am used to on my '13 535. But, for me its intended use is solely as a fair weather sports car, and its still light years more modern than my '93 Porsche 968 Cab was.
Lucky for us we are having some unexpected November "summer" here in Montreal, so I am getting a chance to enjoy it a bit before reality sets back in.
