This is basically how it went down for me to, right down to band class and everything. I was a freshmen, overheard some loudmouth after gym in the locker talking about how there was a huge plane crash - he had the reputation of being a clown so no one thought anything of it. Got to next class with the TVs on, and watched & talked for the rest of the day/week. Parents were allowed to get their kids but most stayed, as work, life, etc. went on, albeit pretty sullenly.

I know this is a pretty young forum but any of the older guys who were working 10 years ago - much the same, just in an office setting? I can't remember any school or work being cancelled, but I can't imagine much work was getting done...
