I personally think there's more room in the z than in a 3'er. If you can get in a 328 I think you'll have way less trouble with the Z. I'm 6'2, 80kg, no fuss whatsoever.
But to be sure, you definitely want to try it out for size.
I lent my z4 to the local dealership for some large dude who wanted to try it out before buying. He bought one. ;-)
Only I had a heavy friend in my car last night and he did winge about how low it was... was a bit funny to watch. It's OK to laugh at this, right? :-P We laughed anyways.
