Brake/Brake Pedal problems

I have a 35is which has the following problem: when the car has stood still for several hours (half a day, full day), the brake pedal gets very very hard in 8 out of 10 cases.

As I need to depress it to start, the car even moves a bit during starting...

After starting, everything is ok, brakes function fine.

Someone told me it is a leak in the vacuum part of the brakes (I'm not a technician so I know not much about it)

I took it to the dealer who just greased the rubbers of the pedal (wtf!?): "probably due to cold weather the pedal gets hard"

NOT !

So now the dealer has no clue and he suggests to replace the thing that helps you brake (sorry, can't seem to find the proper word, I'm dutch speaking you know - brake booster??)

So what do you think?
Anyone experienced the same problem?

Thanks!
