I do love my Z4. This is my first BMW, and test-driving my Z4 was the first time I'd ever even driven a "bimmer". Just amazing!
I've had it in for service twice now, and have gotten loaner vehicles (335i and 328i) and not to bash those vehicles...but I seriously don't understand the 3 series love.
To each his own!
I also like the fact that after 3 weeks of owning my 2011 sdrive35i, I've yet to see another E89 on the road...
