Takes them about 5 minutes to top off coolant. I had the light come on about 18 months ago. Just once, wasn't on again the next day. Just stopped at a dealer's service department, they topped it off, and I was on my way.
Make the appointment, but just stop by during a slow time (afternoon, not weekend, not holiday)!before then and see if they just take care of it.
