Mike,
Don't walk away, as you stated it is one of the last 2011's
BMW will repair it, all you need to do is
insist that the bumper will be replaced
not repaired. Insist you want to see the damaged bumper after they replaced the bumper.
Be firm about that.
It will take some time since they will have to order a replacement bumper from Germany (unless there is one in stores someplace in North America).
Once repaired it will be the car you ordered in the first place.
