I want to bring a different point of view.
In my opinion, I would say it depends on your mods.
A nicely/sober upgraded car and well maintained could be easier to resell.
I have examples of cars with simple and nice mods (wheels, painted caliper breaks, few interior upgrades, minor engine mods), that was easier to resell than the stock version.
It can make your car better looking compared to other same model car that people can find in the market.
However, your mods must please as many people as possible.
