I now have a short commute of 5 miles. I have to say, I do miss my longer 45 minute commute.
Seems I'm the only one who doesn't mind traffic (for the most part). That time spent in my car decompressed me from the work day. I also go to enjoy my car. If traffic on the highway was very bad, I was lucky enough to have back roads to get back home through. The only negative being that it added about the same time to the commute as if I had stayed in traffic. But again, I got to enjoy the ride.
Now, the car barely warms up by the time I get to the office. And I don't have that "me" time before getting home.
