ENTRY LIST FOR LE MANS 24 HOURS TEST DAY
May 26 2015 by World Endurance Championship staff

On Sunday 31 May the 56 entries taking part in the 83rd edition of the Le Mans 24 Hours will gather in La Sarthe for the official pre-event test, with the 34 World Endurance Championship full season entries forming over 50% of the eligible cars. They will be joined by some of the reserve entries and two LMP3 Ginetta-Nissans from the European Le Mans Series, making a total of 64 cars on track.

In LMP1, 11 of the 14 cars are WEC entries and it will be the first opportunity to see the new AER-powered Rebellion R-One and the trio of Nissan GT-R LM NISMOs on track. As they did at Spa-Francorchamps earlier this month, Porsche and Audi will each be fielding a third entry. The Porsche 919 hybrids will also be switching to the red, black and white Le Mans liveries that were unveiled at The Prologue in March. Reigning World Champion Toyota will be running two cars as the Japanese team bids to win its first Le Mans 24 Hours to add to the 2014 world titles.

The impressive 21-car LMP2 grid includes all 9 WEC full season entries including current Championship leader G-Drive Racing. It is joined by 10 European Le Mans Series competitors, including the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps race winner and reigning LMP2 Le Mans 24 Hour champion, JOTA Sport.

With just 9 entries in total the LMGTE Pro is numerically the smallest category at this year’s race but what the class lacks in quantity it certainly makes up for it with quality. The 7 WEC works entries from Aston Martin, Ferrari and Porsche will face the challenge of the works Corvettes from the Tudor United SportsCar Championship. This four-way battle for the win at Le Mans will mean the class is one of the ones to watch during the 2015 race.

The 18-strong LMGTE Am grid will feature all 7 WEC entries and they will be joining by a similar number of ELMS competitors, with the remaining 4 cars coming from the TUSC and Asian Le Mans Series. The no98 Aston Martin Vantage of Paul Dalla Lana, Mathias Lauda and Pedro Lamy has had the perfect start to 2015 – scoring 52 points in the first two races after taking pole position and victory at Silverstone and Spa. All eyes will be watching to see if the 100% record can be maintained at Le Mans.

At 16h00 on Saturday 30 May the 56 cars taking part in the 24 Heures Le Mans on the 13/14 June will form up on the grid for the traditional grid photograph, and on Sunday the first 4-hour test session will begin at 09h00 followed at 14h00 by the second session.
