Too Tall wasn't that some Cowboy. You have to think outside of the box. What fun is it if we all do the same thing. Next time I would go for the 225/40 (F) purely for aesthetics - they are 0.3" smaller OD @ 26.1" (Stock 225/35's are 25.1" OD). The PSS 265/35's are 26.3" OD -vs- stock 255/30 @ 25.3".

The 245/40's (F) Michelin PSS have an OD @ 26.7" OD (sizes vary +/-0.2" from brand to brand) and that will rub on the inner plastc well as stated by Hoa. Do your homework, think, measure. All the data is available on the "Tire Rack" website.

If you want to play it safe and not do the work - buy the stock sizes.
