There have been quite a few threads regarding the standard stereo system and most, it would seem aren't too positive. Have a quick search.
I would say that the majority would recommend upgrading at least to the 'business' option (available in Europe) or going for the 'premium' sound package if in the US (the US doesn't seem to offer the 'business' upgrade which would be the middle option).
Of course you always have the option of going the 'after market' route which, from what I've read, probably gives you slightly more for your money but of course you'll have to leave it with the supplier to fit etc.
