Nothing has changed since then. The Z2 can't compete with the Miata and Solstice market unless it's close to their price range, and there's no way it will be that cheap. The Z4 will bump up inprice like the 3-series did, the Z2 will cost as much as the Z4 Mk1 the way the 1-series costs what the E46s did, and once again you've got a car that overpriced and underpowered.

I would agree with you except for one thing. In Canada, a fully loaded MX-5 GT with the PRHT is 45K. I think BMW can come up with a Z2 in that range.
