Meth kit is a great addition to your mod list if you plan on running high boost setup or want to squeeze out more power from your current setup. Most people don't invest in meth kits because they simply don't need it (not planning to run high boost setups) and/or they do not want to deal with the installation which can take up to 6+ hours for most setups.
