Thanks for the info. I took it in and they did do a software update. I have not experienced the problem again since then. I'm still wondering if it's normal (on a 2009 Z4) for the RPM's to NOT increase when the A/C is turned on? I have never had another vehicle that did not have an associated increase in engine speed when the A/C compressor came on... I thought this might be associated with the software problem. Thanks again.
