Sorry to see this man ... hope the city will pay the total bill. You ask about cost my estimate would be between $6K to $7K to repair this.

Good point E36ic4Me made about the top, have it checked out at the dealership if you can. Hate to see it stuck half way up or down when you try it at home. Best to do this t the place where they can help you out.
