Also do these require any treatment before you can mount them with new pads or is it just straight up plug and play? I was thinking of doing rotors and Hawk pads to the front and rears, but didn't know if they would bed in on their own after awhile or whether they needed a pre-treatment. (Not sure I can justify the BMW Perf. brake kit on the Z4.)

The holes and slots won't rust because they are zinc coated. That is the point of the zinc, to prevent rusting. Same with the center bore. It is zinc coated, so will not rust like the OEMs (mine have already started to after 4,000 miles....
)
