Most probably you own a E90 with the DETUNED version of the N52B25 engine which outputs 170hp and was available only in the canadian market. This explains the bad rating for 0-100km/h.
Even if that's not the case and your E90 has not the detuned version, then your bad rating is due to the transmission and final drive ratios which are VERY different in the Z4 (more shorter).
The N52B25 engine is definitely not that bad.
