The factory one is a screen mesh. Anything that is a solid acrylic is an aftermarket item.
We purchased ours without any sort of wind deflector. I purchased the roll-hoop covers and mounting hardware along with the actual screen wind deflector.
Installed it almost 2 years ago and have not removeThat it since. It looks great and makes highway speeds tolerable.
Oh... the factory screen mesh is in 3 parts. You install a mesh screen inside the little hoops behind your head, and you install a screen between the hoops.
That said, it is easy to snap out of the mounting point and put it in the storage bag and drop it in the trunk.
