I am puzzled...I wanted to create my own exhaust..I wanted to keep things simple. The plan was to change the mufflers only.
after long search, I decided to get the Borla XR-1.. supposedly a race muffler,i.e. supposedly LOUD one.
I got 2 from Ebay, installed and
it made the car MORE QUITE!!!
honestly, the Borla killed all the raspiness.. now though the car sounds more quite, it has a much more deeper tone-something I really like.
so after some thinking, I decided to delete the secondary cats.
this was completed recently, the sound is a bit louder however, the 2 issues below are still killing me
- how can I further increase the sound? I am seriously considering muffler delete!!
- The mind blowing thing is that whatever sound is coming is loudest at idle starts reducing the higher the revs. after 4.5 K the car is almos silent!!!
I need your advice guys, as this is not making sense to me, usually the higher the revs the higher the flow of gases and the louder the exhaust (am I wrong)
