Had my little girl pass away on my this Sunday. She was only 8 years old. My baby was diagnosed with IMHA back in late August. I invested over $10k into saving her but she passed while my fiance and I where holding her this last Sunday at around 9am. I guess my silver lining is that at least she died in the arms of those who love her.
As far as her diet goes she was fed very well.. From my research what possibly triggered the IMHA is her immunizations when she was a puppy and the use of that flea and tick medicine. Lesson learned when I get another Maltese she will not be subjected to any shots, and I'll use a natural essential oil as a flea/tick preventative.
