Depends on the offsets, but Z4 can handle 9.5 front with offsets from 20-30ish and 10.5 with offsets from 30-40 (might hit something from the car side with high offsets) BUT you can not run such tire combos, front will take 235 with some camber and rear would have to be 275 or 265, 255 for minor modifications.
edit: you can find several people running M4 wheels on Z4 @ zroadster.com, plenty of pictures too.
