That is what BMW did, scrap their whole M heritage. Do you know how iconic the M3 is? Do you know how iconic NA H/R engines are?
But times change, so one must have to adapt. Most buyers have no idea what an M3 or a 911 or even an S Class is. I'm not talking about those on forums, but those out there.
